Jumbo Frames and Tinypic

Anybody else having issues with this combination? I haven't been able to access Tinypic for a while now. I did some googling and the problem is supposedly related to having Jumbo Frames enabled. Sure enough, if I disable them, I can suddenly resolve Tinypic links. Is there a logical explanation for this? I haven't had issues with any other websites.
 
Must have something to do with fragmentation. Jumbo Frames are for large file transfers in the LAN.
 
I did a little wireshark and I couldn't see anything obvious. With JF off, the frames are 1514B as expected and everything is dandy. With JF on, my computer sends the HTTP/GET but sends a duplicate ACK as if the server had never responded. From there, things get wonky and I'm redirected a bunch of times. It's either a fragmentation thing like you said or some issue with OpenDNS.

I'll leave JF on since I need them and suffer the consequences for the time being.

Ya.. well... his opinion pays him ass loads of money at the end of the year. So I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

And he's right. Jumbo Frames doesn't always belong on a PC lan. Besides what the hell are you doing having to transfer 200+ gigs of data between a pc and server of any given day? Build a San. Drop all of the stuff on there and get a second NIC to dedicate that traffic to and enable jumbo frames between that nic and the san. Then you can leave jumbo frames off the nic you'll use for everyday surfing.
