im looking into buying a 1700+ off newegg, because i hear they are good overclockers, which stepping is better? and do i have a choice of which one i get?:confused:
 
JIUHB were some of the best overclockers of the bunch. I don't know if they still have any of that stepping for sale. If they did, NewEgg does not guarantee any stepping so it would still be down to luck.
 
well that stinks, should i rish getting a AIUGA or should i go with a faster processor?

and, with my slk800, how fast do you think i could go if nothing else was holding it back
 
AIUGA is an A type core, poor overclockability.

looks like newegg has some KIXIB cores out but I haven't heard anything about them.
