Got my jpac today and its pretty much identical to the micro-fly. the flash makes the finish look crappy, but its a nice, smooth, semi high gloss finish. flash makes the dust show too.

as you can see, there is only one spot for an 80mm intake fan (some thought there were 2)

here are a couple of the parts going into this build with a sc opteron for use as a pvr and media center, maybe some light gaming on the tv.

edit the handle is a joke. its like a toy compared to the qpack handle. i woudnt use it to carry the empty case.
 
Interesting... If they are the same then why aren't there lawsuits flying from Ultra? Is Jpac just a division of Ultra? Seems like it wouldn't be that way, as NewEgg will not sell Ultra's products.

The handle is weak like the Q-Pack's, but it is still usable on my Micro-Fly. I tote it to LANs using the handle. Post pics when you are done building :D
 
Good pics! Thanks for the money shots of the front - I was waiting for that. I think I could be happy with the size.

I know I asked about the fans earlier, but one or two really doesn't make a difference since the front fascia basically makes it only effective at pushing around the case air. What it needs is some fans on the sides and I don't know where would be a good place to put them. Thinking about getting one but drilling through plexi... lots of things that could screw that up. I like the transparent look, though and the slimmer looking profile.
 
for my qpack i bought a cheap 3 inch (77mm) hole saw and arbor for around 12 bucks and made a suckhole on the left side window all the way forward. this way it cooled off my vid card and also provided some thru-ventilation. i will probably end up doing it on this one, also. but it comes out nice, if you use a hole saw.
btw, the side panels and top panels are all separate pieces, as opposed to the qpack. much easier to mod. you could also leave one of the side panels off for the summer, if you were inclined.
the included psu claims 550watts, and 20 amps on the single 12v rail.
 
Ya I will definitely be using a hole slaw this time around if I get this case. It was a PITA on the ARIA, due to the way the panels are made and it would look like crap if you skipped across the plexi or cut an irregular shape.

I wouldn't expect the PSU to be decent - it costs less than the X-Qpack and that one is just shite! Just pretend it's a case without a power supply - that's how I treat all of these.

Ultra doesn't make the case....someone else does. Not only that, designs can be taken in China and its no big deal.
