Joystick port problem...

well im trying to play BF2 and im sick of using a mouse to fly a plane so i popped in a working soundcard with a joystick port

only problem, the joysticks port's I/O range is in use <_<

AMD a64 3000+ winnie at 2.6ghz
512MB OCZ pc3200 @ 240 3-4-4-8 2.8v (its not great ram)
the soundcard is in the first pic
onboard sound is disabled
eVGA geforce 6800NU
 
The joystick port IO range in use by what device?
I would simply try the card in another slot......
 
If you don't use your Serial ports, or Parallel port, disable them in CMOS. Then see if that clears the conflict. If not, then try a different PCI slot. If that doesn't do the trick, try manually changing the I/O address if you can.

Do you have a floppy drive? If not, disable the FDD controller in CMOS as well. No use in reserving resources for things you will never have or use.
