Under game controller of control panel, when I click on the properties of the joystick, there is no 'calibrate' button that I can click like everyone says there is. What might be the reasons.

I have the latest Direct X installed and have SP2 plus Logitech 3D extreme Pro

Thank you

You might as well get another controller now. You'll never get that thing calibrated for any length of time again. It's a common issue, go ahead and google it.

I think Logitech's software/driver has the calibration utility in it. Download the latest version from their web site.

hmm if there is a calibration utility in the Logitech driver I can't seem to find it and I've looked really hard. I have the latest version which is 4.60. Would you care to point out the calibration utility in the Logitech driver please?

Thanks

That's why I began my post with "I think"... I "thought" the calibration utility automatically ran when you first installed the software but perhaps I am incorrect. I thought somewhere within the Wingman profiler program there was an option in the menu somewhere to run the calibration again. I'm sorry I can't be of any more specific assistance than that.

Ahh no problem man!!! Don't worry about it.. This logitech thing is pissing me off and it seems not only I have that problem.... Other people are constantly out of calibration with this joystick and they have no way of calibrating it back... ARGGG

Thanks guys!

I bought one about 2 years ago. Great controller, for the week that it worked. Then the calibration creep happened, started just drifting to the left constantly. It's a very common problem that Logitech refuses to acknowledge, even to this day. It's a real shame, since beyond the calibration problem it really is a great controller. My recommendation would be to get a Saitek, they're affordable, durable and comfortable. I got mine for under $30 at walmart to replace the Logitech and it's been flawless since -- and I use it frequently.

get microsoft sidewinder 3D pro

windows even supports their 15 year old controlles, because they're "microsoft"

The Saitek Cyborg Evo is a great choice. There's also a wireless version and a force-feedback version.
