Jmicron raid controller on Gigabyte DS3 this bad or am I doing something wrong?
I have 2 400GB Seagate 7200.9 drives connected to the 2 orange Jmicron raid connections and setup a raid 0 array. I used 128k block size, then later tried 64k. I formated my drive in Windows and copied data from my other drive to the raid 0 drives.
My system starts to get jerky. Particularly the mouse will freeze up ever other second. CPU usage doesn't seem that high though on both cores, 15-20%ish.
I have a E4300 (running at 3GHz) and 2GB of RAM. My OS is installed on a Raptor (solo drive on the Intel SATA port).
Was curious if this was typical with the onboard raid controllers or if I screwed up somewhere and need to investigate my screw up further.
