Anyone have any hdtachs of single drive configs using jmicron for sata? I'm curious if ahci native mode would net me anything over ich8, although currently, I'm already seeing what's normal for wd 500gb re2 drives. Just wonder if it'd be worth the hassle
 
Not worth it at all. The jmicron chips are on par (if you're lucky) or sub-par compared to the intel native chip.
