3am and I was flashing my X800 Pro VIVO bios to that of the XT. Reboot and my motherboard screams at me "system failed vga test"... first thought in my mind was

F...

The last PCI video card I owned was a Voodoo 2, and the last time I've seen that card was when i still owned a Pentium 200mhz. Thought I'd have to order one off of Newegg or some other online merchant. Too bad I'm heading out to college in a few days. Went to CompUSA today and found out they actually carried a Radeon 9200 128MB PCI card for $39. Explained what had happened to the cashier on the way out and suddenly it occurred to me I could just return it after I had fixed my AGP card. Took it home, plugged it in, flashed the bios a few times until I got a working one, and then repacked it. Took it back 4 hours later, and they refunded my money no questions asked. How convenient if you botch your softmod and don't happen to have a spare PCI card lying around.
