Jerker

The legs are sturdy and large, this desk has a very large footprint. The actual table is very thick and has a crossbeam than runs underneath it. Its also fairly light and easy to move around.

To answer your question though I find it very stable.

Agreed. I love mine.

I'm also picking up one of the two-tiered models on Thursday of this week. Consider yourself lucky. My drive to pick it up is three and a half hours (Atlanta).

I'm curious, how much is shipping? lol.

I tried to order a tv stand like 2 weeks ago and the price for shipping was like 150-200 for a $120 stand.

I have a jerker like the one in your picture. I just have one table, not two, but I may pickup another one. This is the best desk you can buy if you are a gamer. And they are sturdy. It says it can take up to 160lbs. I have my sony gdw900 24" 96 lbs crt on it and I also had my other 22" nec crt (70lbs) right next to it and it was able to hold it.

I suggest getting two of these: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stor...-1&categoryId=15781&chosenPartNumber=50035115

and also one of these to put your modem and router on:

Hrmm, those desks make me want to ditch mine for 3 of them! Too bad there's no Ikea nearby and shipping will be $200 (for 2)!!! :(

Bought 2 in Ikea yesterday for $89 a piece. I will post pics when I am done. :)
I've got the same style with the beech colored wood. I'm gonna get a two-tier Jerker and arrange it as the main desk with my current one off to the side just like your photo. Fortunately, a new IKEA opened in Atlanta, so I can pick up this Jerker and avoid the $80 shipping cost of my first one.

I have two of them...one for me, and one for my wife. They are extremely sturdy.

I would buy another in a heartbeat and recommend them to everyone that has the room for it.

I got the Jerker this very weekend and will give some thoughts.

First off its pretty damn awesome. I played around a bit with the configuration. As you can see below i got the two tier jerker but i knew i needed more space, so i bought a wood plank at the store and got the vertical extension. I ended up using the vertical extension to place the monitor on and discarded the plank.

Some problems? Ikea sales associates suck and the place is a mad house. Mine had a blemish on the wood (will have to live with it b/c i live 3 hours away from store) and the angeled bar struts were not even close to fitting; so im going to have to fashion or find replacements (no big deal on the last one, the desk isnt really holding any weight.)

Here's my main problem though... I need something better to hold the computer case. The Ikea case holder for the jerker seemed designed to hold wimpy plastic cases. I think I might have to build my own metal platform to hold a full size case. I'm going to plan it soon.

Damn! One of the Jerkers has a crushed corner. Gotta take one back. The other is awesome though.

Yeh guys... be careful... I work in the shipping industry and I usually know a damaged box when i see one... mine looked fine but still had damage.

How many attachments are there for the jerker? I only found a few on the IKEA site. I am looking to purchase one soon and would like a shelf to put my case on. I found the small shelf to put my router / modem on so maybe get 2 of those and put one near the bottom for it?

The shelf for the case is very small and metal. I doubt my Stacker 830 would fit on it, and if it did it would likely bend. I saw the shelf at the Ikea store and it looked like it wouldn't fit anything above a an Antec Solo in size. Width wise anyway.

I've actually outgrown my Jerker really. At this point I need to get the other kind of Jerker without the shelving that is wider. That way I can hopefully accomodate all three monitors and my PC. I hate having it on the floor. Plus the door on the front of my 830 doesn't open very easily as the machine has sunk into the carpet just enough to keep the door from opening easily. I'd take the door off except that it looks ghetto like that.
