Well I've been wanting to have a dual video card system for the longest time. So I finally bit the bullet!

I bought the, XFX HD-585X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5850 from Newegg, as it's cheap, lifetime warranty, and it comes with a free 8 gig flash drive (only have a couple 2 gig-ers).

It was $279.99 with free shipping, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150494

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter but I have the Sapphire 5850, which is 2.0 PCI-E. The XFX is 2.1 PCI-E. Comments?

Thanks.

the differing PCIe spec doesn't matter. The XFX custom card has limited OC ability.

That's fine. I don't have mine overclocked right now anyways. :)

Not sure if i'm missing much for not doing so?

Hmm..nice.

So how high could the XFX go? Also what is good program to use? CCC only goes to 775.

Thanks!

I used MSI Afterburner. You'll need to go into the .cfg file and set

UnlockVoltageControl = 1 to increase the voltage and I believe you set
EnableUnofficialOverclock = 1 as well, not sure on this though, it may be already set to 1.

This will all change when you get your XFX card, as you will be limited by that card's OC due to being the lower overclock when you crossfire.
