Hey guys,
I have Ubuntu Linux 6.06 and a AMD 3700+ with 2gb RAM. I was running Firefox 1.5.0.5 and every time I goto http://spreadsheets.google.com my computer jumps to 100% load and slows to a crawl. It works just fine in windows, but in linux it's a no go. It's not just that site either. There are other random sites that cause it too. It get really frustrating and it makes browsing REALLY frustrating when I run across a site that it doesn't like.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060821 Firefox/2.0b2

No extensions, already made a new profile and it didn't help. I've reinstalled java on my machine twice with the latest and made sure all the symbolic links where right. I've had the problem since day one, 1.5.0.5 was installed at that time. I completely removed that and installed this 2.0b2 in a completely different directory to make sure everything was fresh. Still have the problem.

I've reinstalled flash with no change too. If I run firefox for windows in Crossover everything works just fine. But, it's really annoying that it's not native so I don't use it. It's not as fast, fonts are different, just not worth it in crossover.

I've run firefox in debug mode as well and had no luck.

Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks,
Jordan
