The jailbreak tool that was to be released soon to help do an untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad, and iPad 2 had .PDF files leaked today. This was the first jailbreak to be released that would jailbreak the iPad 2 and furthermore, it was the easy tool, the one here you go to JailbreakMe.com and slide the bar from left to right to jailbreak the device.

What this means for us consumers? Apple is likely to patch iOS 4.3.3 with an update (iOS 4.3.4) that fixes the exploit preventing jailbreaking from the future.

For right now: Use TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.3 and earlier and wait for Comex to release JailbreakMe 3.0 officially.

Currently Comex is working hard to race against Apple. He is trying to release his official tool before Apple patches it.

Yeah I jailbroke my iPad 2 today with this leak and it works perfect.

I have used a bunch of Cydia apps and tweaks and everything seems to be working perfectly fine.

I will probably restore and use the proper jailbreak when that comes out just to be safe anyways though.
 
As long as people don't upgrade, they should still be fine right?
 
Right, but don't forget to save your SHSH, because if not you will not be able to install anything but the latest Steve-sanctioned version of iOS.
 
On twitter all the developers involved with this jailbreak say DO NOT USE IT. It is buggy and very much an early leak and not ready for general use. They are actually quite unhappy about it getting out and giving apple a chance to see it before it is released.

So expect a 4.3.4 fairly soon to patch it and save your SHSH NOW.
 
This seems like a dumb thing to leak since it might get patched before it is even released now.
 
It was recommended by many iOS hackers and developers that you do not use the leaked PDF file to jailbreak your iDevice as the version that was leaked was a beta with many bugs and issues. You should restore the original iOS 4.3.3, save your SHSH blob, and wait for the official release as mentioned previously.

That is exactly why many of the jailbreak devs are upset with the whole situation.
