After all that, I'm now looking for a new case (or at least a replacement 140mm intake fan or two) for this build. As supplied, the CM 690 II Advanced has more exhaust than intake (airflow wise). What's more, the stock fans spin at too low of a speed to do much good. I noticed this when the exhaust coming out of the case became hot, signifying that there is not enough intake from the front of the case. I added a 140mm Scythe SlipStream fan to the left side panel, but that location only helps to keep the GPU from becoming overly hot for comfort.
Don't get me wrong; that case is a good choice for the money. I wish that it came with better fans.
