Hi, the parts from the following thread arrived a few days ago (except the fookin case - theres always 1 eh) http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=706499

COMPONENTS:

Mobo: Abit AN7 - i was impressed, nice looking motherboard, and at a glance alot of overclocking options in bios, very easy to install.

PROCESSOR: AMD xp2500+ 'barton' - havent tried the o/c yet due to retail hsf, but everyone knows there top notch.

Memory- twinos 2 x 256 - is it just me, or do u have to ram these little bastards in extremly hard with an unbelievable amount of force?

SATA DRIVE: Samsung 80gb, i dunno if i installed this properly because windows recognises it as a SCSI drive, is this normal? well its woking atm and it very very quiet.

CASE: http://www.lope.com.tw/i-tee-specification.htm Hasnt arrived yet ;< should make for a nice moddable unique case.

GFX: Gforce 4 ti4200

Well basically, ive installed all components and my system is not performing that well with a 3dmark2001se score of 10.k, i want to tweak it but:
a) i dont know how to do it
b) im scared to damage components

so has anyone got any tips/tweaks tried and tested, any info will b much appreciated.

thanks

Your GeForce 4 is the bottleneck. Overclock the Athlon and you will see what I mean. Find a used 9700pro or something.

what HSF would u recommend me to use?

i was thinking a thermaltake SLK series, but theres the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ factor :<
