Since I dont have room for a floppy if I get an internal hardrive I figured I'll just buy an external floppy drive and internal hd around 160 gbs thoughts or a 250 and partition 20 for linux?

This will be atleast 2 months down the road maybe 4 ....
 
well I personally think that most external HDD are a really bad idea
as they are 3.5" formfactor drives and can easily self destruct if bumped at the wrong time
so the external FDD sounds like a really good idea since they are bulletproof by comparision
