I've been outsmarted by window molding

I bought the window molding with locking strip. I cut my panel and the plexiglass.

I spent 30 minutes wrestling with the window and molding. My dogs watched me like I was a youtube video of a monkey trying to frak a football.

How in the world do you get this joker together?
