I always want own itx mobo since old epia times, and finnally two days ago I bought used 630i-itx for 80% normal price and itx fun begin :p
Many project with differnt coolers and hdd positions, minimizing dimensions and finally first case is almost done.

e7200 + low profile box HSF + 92mm acutake fan @ 5V
1x1gb ocz
zotac 630i-itx
modecom 96W PSU
2,5" hdd 250GB toshiba
case dimensions 185x185x70mm from semi transparent black plexi :cool:

I will update thread soon, I am waiting for 5mm spacers for mobo :)

I don't really like the Zotac logo, but that's the best looking ITX case I've ever seen. Nice and quiet single fan system. Excellent work!
 
Looks nice. What tools did you use to work your plexi? Last plexi case I built was insane hours with the file and sandpaper after working the main shape with the dremel. You've got all the cutouts along the edges, and oversanding just a bit looks like it would have thrown the whole thing out of whack.

Bad mobo but cool case! I've got one of their 7100 itx boards and I also had one of the 7050 boards and they both kind of suck all due to the chipset though; really looking forward to picking up one of their 9300 itx boards. :D
 
that looks so stellar, but i still want a dedicated video card.

I plug old 3,5" 80GB hdd to system and:

- full HD 1920x1080p bitrate 21,000kbps cpu usage 50-60% working very good
- HD 1280x720p cpu usage25-30%

power consumption:
idle 40W
load 65W (orthos prio 8)

Other than that, real nice job. I've got the same motherboard. I'm getting the 9300itx though, and adding a 65w Q9550, and probably a 4870. I'll have to see what kind of PSU I'm going to need.

homemade build (I mean project, all "work" is laser cut job
halo2 nope, only NFS U1 and U2 (works superb)

also, you should take 9800gtx+ gpu, I have one and its very "cool" card, radeon is a superb heater lol
 
True. It really will all come down to price/performance ratio. I'm not really a fanboy to either ATI or Nvidia. Both have had their good and bad times.

yes, psu look like PICO (little bigger, BUT 2x more cheaper) than original picu-psu
so choice is simple this time, bcoz I want make PC for cheap

I bought psu with case (bcoz company dont sell it separaetly) also here in Poland pico psus cost much more so I decided to buy this one for first build

Now I thought about itx no.1 rev1.1 so this time I ordered from china one pico psu(non original) and from USA I try to order oryginal one
I want order kingston low profile ddr2 sticks, and with picopsu and low profile ram I guees I can put 2,5" hdd with scythe quiet drive inside the case with the same dimensions likt this which i shown to you in this topic :eek::eek:
 
Did you encounter any problems (other than bigger size than picopsu) with the modecom PSU? I was planning to use same power supply (found in feel 202/302 case) for my itx build.

modecom works very good :) dont have problems with it
but for ppl from USA better choice will be pico psu, bcoz its smaller a lot than modecom

I was tempted to ask him too! But I don't know how he feels about getting into the case building business.

The smallest "production" case I found which has my interest is this one from A-Tech. I was going to buy that for the Zotac board since I want it an HTPC anyway. It also uses an external PSU.

no problem with order custom case, I made two for my friends, bcoz they dont find any case which good dimensions (always too wide 5-10mm or too long)

customs stuff ROCKS :D
