Hello,

This will be my first post on this forum and first SFF build I prepare to make;)

I'd be grateful if you could evaluate this component layout:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3aLKqeB35p9T2VUSzBlNkFKMms&usp=sharing

Components:
CPU: Intel 6600K
GPU: GTX970
mobo: TBD (M.2 SSD socket is a must)
PSU: TBD
Case: TBD
Cooling: AIO with 240mm cooler.

Case layout:
As seen on images. I want to have 2cm space under mobo for convinient cable routing.

Do you know about any case with that kind of layout?

Is it possible to make it nice and quite with these components?

What do you think about single vs. double 14cm fan on the front? Optical drive is not a must.

Is it better for PSU to pull air from inside or to be separated (pull air from side and push on the back side)?

If I forgot about something please ask.

I think that what you're looking for is NCASE M1 with a little different psu location

or Cougar QBX if you don't really need 240mm radiator and you can't get M1

Thank you for posting those cases. One thing i need to mention is that I need it to be horizontal (more like desktop than a tower). Can I use NCASE M1 lying horizontally?

If you orient the PSU to intake air from inside the case rather than outside, it could be operated on its side. You would need to add feet to the case side though, and the exposed underside would look out of place with the rest of the case.

Ncase M1 is not really suited for horizontal use.

For horizontal use I suggest Silverstone cases :
RVZ01/ML07/FTZ01 or the new RVZ02 which is more build friendly and with an easy access to the back of the mobo.

But keep in mind that horizontal position give less air to the GPU which is on the bottom side. So it will heat more rapidly. Still manageable if you don't OC though.

Yeah, those silverstone cases are good.If you like quality material and are looking at the cougar above, beware that is not all that pretty.Interior is steel but there is a lot of plastic involved and my personal favourite is that the top is one big plastic piece painted so that it looks aluminum.(technically is way different than the prototype)

I don't know of a case with this exact layout in horizontal orientation. The Jonsbo/Rosewill/Cooltek U-Series is similar but is vertical and only suited for short GPUs. It doesn't have any cable routing space underneath the mainboard either.

I'd say let the PSU take in air from the outside if the desired location allows it. That way it won't fight for air with the top radiator. On the other hand, if it's very dusty in your area, it might make more sense to only have the two front fans intake air through dust filters and all other components inside feed from that filtered air and exhaust, including the PSU.

If you let the PSU and GPU feed of the air from the front fans, use two. If only the CPU AIO uses that air, one 140mm fan should suffice.

PSU and mobo can potentially play a role in your case choice as well, based on the CPU socket placement (for cooling) and the PSU length/modularity
