Can anyone suggest a good ITX board for a small file server? I currently have a Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 that keeps shutting down on its on :( this file server will need to run 247. Im up for getting a board with onboard cpu as well.

how about a HP DataVault or MediaSmart or ProLiant Micro. They come in very small packages and take 4 hot swappable HDD (3 in reality since you have OS on one of the HDD). They are designed to run 24X7. You can't use hardware RAID though. Get urelf a Windows Home Server 2011 or Small Business Sever 2011, or just stick to the stock Windows Home Server V1
 
the ecs h67h2-i board is pretty nice. It has an open mPCIe/mSATA slot you can use for an ssd boot drive (I am using the intel 310 series on mine) and then you have 4 open sata slots to put up to 12tb of storage on

I have one of the same 24/7 so your problem is elsewhere. What other requirements do you have?number of sata ports, what operating system, etc?

This SUPERMICRO board is great for embedded usage, has 6 SATA ports and IPMI (allows you to VNC in and even get into the BIOS, sort of an IP/KVM),

i went with the supermicro you suggested. . If you read some of the reviews on newegg and on the net, peope are having issues with it turning off. thanks for the suggestion! purchased it on buy.com for about 65 bucks cheaper then the egg.
