Currently I have about 60 GB's/500 Albums in iTunes. All the music is stored on my fileserver and separated into playlists by album. I have sorted and added all the music from one of my workstations and would like to let my girlfriend add music and sync her iPod to our joint library. The solution Apple provides is inadequate, and I was wondering if anyone here had run into the same problem, and found a good solution.
Workstation 1 - iPod 40GB - Access to Music
Workstation 2 - iPod Mini - Needs to dynamically share library and playlists
Fileserver - Holds all the music on a shared volume.
All three computers are in the same room, on the same subnet
I have been all over the internet trying to figure this out, and am running out of ideas. The one thing i thought of is using a common iTunes Library XML file, but I haven't found a way to point both computers to it. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions you might have.
