itunes and large music collections

i have a fairly large music collection (~110 gigs) when i try to import the parent folder of the collection itunes freezes and becomes unstable to the point i have to close it's process. I don' t want to add individual foders, that would take too long. Is there any other way to get my music into itunes?

I don't think there is a way to get all of your music in at once. The easiest(though tedious) thing to do is just put them in file by file. A good idea, though, is to move a bunch of comon files together so you get larger groups done faster and just regroup in iTunes.

you're fucking kidding right? do you know how many files 110 gigs are? up until i hit the 100 mark it wasn't a problem, and apperently i am not the only one with the issue if you read apple support pages.
