It's upgrade time.

My current rig:
P4 2.8c
IC7-G
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
2X512 PC4000 Corsair XMS
2X80gb SATA (unraided currently)
Antec 480watt PSU (Neopower?)

Right now, I'm only looking to upgrade CPU and mobo, which in turn means that I might as well upgrade my video card. Due to the amount of gaming that I do, I'm leaning heavily towards AMD.

I don't see myself running SLI, but it's always a possibility. I'm no very up to date on that technology at all however, so I'm not sure all that's entailed.

Essentialy, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good mobo and CPU combo for around $400, and on my next paycheck I'd probably get a new video card (around the same price, maybe a little more.)

Also, does anyone know what I could get for an IC7-G, P42.8c, and an Arctic Cooling Freezer 4 if I were to sell them?

Thanks!

i just got this last night, best bang for your buck i think:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum for AGP slot users since your not ready for SLI
AMD64 3000+ winchester

They oc the best for now and its good enough to get you by till the venice core comes out. I see these chips running at 2.6 easy. I purchased this at monarch.

your processor could probobly do 3.4ghz, with your cpu at that speed you could just buy a 6800gt and keep everything else.
