I have been a user of Radeons since the 9200 line but for the first time in years I have been having massive driver issues. Ok sure my pc doesnt crash and my games run fine. But ive been having artifacting left and right on the desktop followed by the inability to use eyefinity and the inability to select my hdmi display as an extended monitor. WTF AMD? These were things I used to do with the Cat 10.10 drivers....

artifacting usually isnt a driver problem. most of the time it is ram, but it could be the gpu core. is the gpu overclocked?

as for running eyefinity. at least one monitor has to use the display port. that is the way it has been since the hd 5000 series.
 
For dual monitors display port isnt needed.
It should work from two DVI connections.
The card is from launch day. It has been running perfectly for months now.

Yes, you should be able to use two monitors off of DVI (assuming you aren't using the HDMI port). That doesn't change the fact that one (or both) of your cards is most likely failing. Artifacting on your desktop almost always is a hardware issue, not a driver issue. Do a driver sweeper/clean install, but I doubt that changes anything. You could also try manually downclocking your cards.

You get 2 years from the date they were manufactured if I'm not mistaken. Maybe 3 years. Either way your covered as 6000 series is just under a year old.
 
Only time I seem to run into actual driver issues is when I was screwing around with crossfire. Single card has always been great. I would reseat the cards and the crossfire bridge to see if your still getting artifacts. I have had drivers cause artifacts in games but I have never seen it happen on desktop. I agree it sounds more like a hardware problem.

correct, but to use the HDMI port on the launch day cards you can't use the top DVI port which is shared with the HDMI port and explains why you can't extend to your HDMI display.

btw eyefinity does not equal 2 displays. eyefinity is 3 or more displays.

but either way RMA that card.

Depends on which State you live. Some States require companies to honor all warranties without registering your product.
