I have Intel Dual Core 920 Processor OC from 2.8Ghz to 3.0Ghz and it runs really hot , when i m planing Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter or any other game, the temp rises up to 68C, and fan goes crazy. I m using Intel's Stocked HeatSink.

Its the same case when I run the processor at 2.8Ghz on Asus i975X M/B. Can anyone recommend be really good Heatsink for this Dual Core processor.

My Case have very good air flow.
 
Blue Orb II ... designed specifically for Intel dual core processors...and its nice and quiet.
 
Provided it will fit, the Scythe Ninja is arguably the best performer in terms of temp/noise.
 
I would recommend the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 if you want a resonably priced heatsink that performs awsome while still being quiet and has it's own thermal compound (actually a pad) that has been benchmarked to perform better then the Artic Silver stuff....

Now if you want the best performance heatsink then I would recommend the Scythe Ninja...only problem with that is it doesn't come with a fan (you need to buy your own) and the heatsink costs WAY more then the Arctic Cooling one and you need to buy your own thermal compound if you don't have some already. It adds up to be quite a bit more then the 25$ for the Arctic Cooling one...


So if you want exelent performance that is quiet and reasonably priced then get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7.

If you want above-exelent performance that is quiet and priced really high then get the Ninja.

Honestly if I were you I would get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7. It's exelent performance without a huge pricetag and it will work perfectly for what you want to do. Google up a few reviews if you want.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 will fit on your board, I've seen it before. Not sure about the Ninja...

way more expensive huh? the Ninja is selling for $34 with a fan included off newegg.

Oh the price did drop quite a bit since I last looked at it, thats awasome. Didn't know they included the fan eather. Nice find, learn something new everyday. Still is a little more expensive (40$ if you buy termal compound with it) and I can't conferm it fitting on that motherboard but if you want to give it a go more power to ya. :cool:
