oh noes, my monitor iz killing me
Wow, I had no idea. Sorry, was drinking a bit last night. Y'all sounded like my GF's friends that won't come in my computer room because the "vibrations".
it's strange that everyone talks about weakening stimulates by changing hardware and environment but no one care about strengthen eyes by feeding well.
someone must change his eating habit like I was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_A
the positive effect(decreasing eye fatigue) is quite evident and comes fast as less than a week in my case.
dopple.. you know the only places I read about PWM is around threads like this not that is not there just ..
Found some incandescent bulbs in the loft a few days ago. If you suffer from any flicker induced eyestrain you really should give them a try. The modern compact fluorescent bulbs were creating some kind of harmonic interference with my CCFL monitor at 100% brightness (no PWM). They both flicker of course but at difference frequencies.
Using incandescent lighting I can now stare at my screen all day (with breaks of course) and have no eyestrain.
cool but arent incandescents being phased out or something ...
Say it ain't so! Incandescent is my preferred light at home. CFL tend to give my eyes a sunburned feeling.
