This is one of the strangest, coolest things ever. I posted at the begining of October about my 9800 Pro kicking the bucket. Damn thing just wouldn't work. Everything was fine and one night when I came home it just stopped woking. Don't know why, just stopped.............

Anyway, last night I was bored out of my mind and felt a great disturbance in the Force so I popped it in my system to see if I could find out what the issue was and it worked, Fired right up, worked like a charm. I was half expecting it to not work this morning but it is pumping away like mad. So I put a Arctic Cooling HSF on it, I just knew that it would stop, but it didn't. The video card Gods have taken mercy on me. I may never find out why, but I couldn't be any happier that it works.

I know that I am probably the only one that gives a rat's ass, so I am sorry to everyone that reads this, I need some sleep.............

Ohhhhhh Half Life 2 is puuuuuurty. I am like the guy that was in a coma when all this cool stuff happened and all the cool stuff is old news to most people, now that I am out of it, all the cool stuff is new to me. I gotta get out more often.

A long time ago I had a Franklin (which I bought used). It was essentially an Apple IIe or IIc I think, but made by Franklin instead of Apple. One of the few times Apple let some other company release their products.

Anyway, after using it to play lots of cool games for a couple years (and on rare occasions write a paper for school), it just quit working one day.

I tried all sorts of stuff but it refused to work.

So I put it away and got myself a PC a few months later.

Then about a year after it broke we were having a garage sale and my Mom asked me what I wanted to do with the Franklin. I said it didn't work, so it wasn't even worth selling. But then I figured "What the heck, lets try it out.". What do you know, but the thing fired right up. I think I sold it for about 50 bucks since it had a wordprocessing software and a crappy printer to go with it.

Who knows why these things happen!

Maybe we should call Unsolved Mysteries and see if they can help. Is that show even on the air anymore?

The force is strong with you. "How strong? I don't know, about as strong as a small pony. Ooh thats quite strong that is." - Eddie Izzard

Dude I hope my card never does that, I dont know what i woudl do if i came home and it just died out.

hope the force always stays strong with me.

Heh, you are lucky...I killed 2 9800pros...permanenently... One I paid $600 for when they were first released :( Hopefully your card is 100% stable
