My beloved apc sau1000 let out the magic smoke.
It was on its 3rd set of batteries since I got it and had been through a set or more before that.
It had been ailing for a while but I put off pulling it out and replacing it with the
CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD I bought over the holidays.
Many many years ago I had converted it over to take the bigger batteries as the XL/1500va version and the cyberpower was real close to the same price of a set of batteries on sale
I figure the ailing batteries shorted and took something out.
Its a sad sad sad day.........
