Hi guys i am on a really tight budget on building my system but i am confused on ram i have MCE 2005, with vista premium upgrade coming after its release. Do you think 512MB is good enough for a media center pc for living room style. The only thing is going to do is to go directly to media center to play video/music etc. But later i will had High-Def GFC,Player stuff so do you think 512 is enough for it. My mombo supports DDRII800/667/533. Which is budgetable and for the long run the best.

I know I work for a memory company and thus my opinion might be colored by that, but I'd say your experience will be much better with 1GB. 512MB might be enough, but to be perfectly honest, I've found that XP (which is what MCE 2k5 is, really) is much more usable with 1GB than 512MB.
