It Is Killing Me....

I've been stuck with a ATI 32MB All in Wonder Radeon and a AMD 1.1 Ghz Athlon on 384MB of PC100 SDRam.

Now I have a AMD Athlon 2800+ with a GeForce 4 Ti4600 all givin to me for putting my friends comp together. All I had to do was buy ram and swap it out with my old stuff. I could only afford a stick of 256MB PC2100, I'll be getting more later.

So...how will this upgrade be? Will I notice a huge difference in performance. He also gave me a unopened cop of Doom 3 that came with his new GeForce 6 but my comp runs it at like a frame a second.

Just look at it....Waitin on the FedEx man for Friday at 4:30 P.M.

Once you get some more RAM, huge won't even begin to describe it. Even still, it should be a gigantic improvement .

yes you will... but not in hard core gaming. if you up the card i think youd get a bit of better performance. but thats me. im not sure

ouch... i just upgraded from a P4 1.8ghz with a GeForce 3 Ti500, and I thought that was pretty bad

I'll get pics of my full case up as soon as all the new stuff is in. I could snap a pic right now. Nothing special. As soon as I get back in school We're using the drill press in shop to cut out a few more oles for fans. One up top, one in the bottom, one big one in the window.

how much was the pc2100 ?? ud probaly be able to get some of those dims for free from diff places

however pc 3200 is cheaper then 2700 so how much was the 2100 jw

Ever think of using a pizza box as a case instead of what you're using now? It would add to the overall look tenfold.

Oh yes, you'll notice the difference....I sure noticed my jump from a P3 750MHz to my A64 3400+ Just sit back ane enjoy the speed when you get it fired up.

And my case is not the mobo box itself...look under the box...its all going in that. And a Pic will be up when all is done tomorrow. I need some rounded cables rather than these super duper bulky ones. But then again I dont have $10.
