As the title says, my cheap 380w power supply sounds like a vacuum. I did some research and decided on a Corsair 450vx. Hopefully i can notice a difference in sound.
 
You will. I have one running in my home file server, and it's completely inaudible.
 
What are you running for a system? Any idea why the cheapo was so loud...just the fan or magnetics?
 
May I ask, what model 380watt PSU are you running that you've found to now be too loud?
