Hello All,

Been lurking for quite awhile, soaking up tons of wonderful knowledge from this community, so first things first - thank you all!

Currently I'm in the planning stage of a 12-20 bay, hot swap, storage solution. Primarily a storage item, not a lot of I/O requirements. I keep waffling on whether to build a DAS, a NAS/Filer, or just a 'server with a lot of hard drives'.

In the process of my research (when thinking direct access), I came across the following piece of equipment. Searched this forum and didn't find any mention of it, so I thought to share it with the community.

- 12 - 24 bay hot swap enclosures.
- Redundant power supplies
- Includes a "daughterboard" of sorts, to which you insert your RAID controller. Then insert the included adapter in your PCI-e 16/8x slot in the server. Connect the enclosure "daughterboard" to the server adapter with a "PCI-e cable" with a claimed 20Gb/sec bandwidth.
