OK here is the issue.
A couple of months ago my motherboard died.
So today i bought a new motherboard. When i reinstalled WindowsXp on my HD it went ok, but when i restart my computer my computer asks me for the boot disk. So i do that, but when i do that it wants me to reinstall windows again! UGH!!!!!

I've done this three times after i restarted my computer after a fresh install of windows
This is just 1 problem when i have 1 HD connected to my Motherboard.

Another issue. When i had 2 HDs connected to the motherboard it did the windows loading files over and over over again. It did it like 10 times in a row.

I can fresh install Windows ok one HD but the 2nd hd can't because windows is corrupted on it and i can't do anything, on it :)

Motherboard is a P4C800-E Deluxe , P4 3.06, 512 crucial ram
2 Maxtor HD's (can't remember size but when i partisian its at 152gigs)
 
make sure CD or disk isnt primary boot and that install disc not in drive
make sure the hdd with good windows on it is set as primary in bios and with jumpers
set the right hdd as first boot
check that, if it doesnt work, check again. If that doesnt work and its all set properly, reinstall windows one more time and get back to us :)

You said you cant install windows on second hdd cause windows is corrupt? this the boot from cd install with a format etc? if that doesnt work i'd think you hdd is a ready for some kind of bin.
 
Are you watching the entire install? I don't know if XP is the same but I have installed Win2K on a number of machines at work and sometimes bad memory will preemptively reboot the machine in the middle of an install. Just something to watch out for as this would then cause it to loop, trying to install again and again.

Thanks man!
I switched to HD to the first boot and it works.

Oh and the other HD. It appears to be fine!
I guess trying to figure out my computer with 3 hours of sleep and working 6 hours doesn't help alot
