Hello,

I am having issues with my raid 6 array on my server (running WHS2011). Sometimes it just becomes unrepsonsive, like if I look at my computer (in windows explorer) it does not show the fullness/capacity of the drive on the overview. Also I am unable to access the drive and attempting to do so ends up crashing explorer and I have to restart the server. Once it has restarted it then works fins and I can access the raid array. I am assuming it is the raid array at fault here as this never seems to happen to the ssd (though that is the main drive, if it happened with that it would pretty much just die).

The raid is through a rocketraid rr2720, it is in raid 6 array and there are 6 3TB drives. 5 of them are WD red drives and 1 is a seagate standard drive. I am wondering if maybe having the standard drive in there is causing the issue, but to be fair it did work ok for some time before this started happening. I cant think of any major changes I made to the server as this started happening.

When it happens I cant see anything on the raid software web access (accessed from my main pc over network) to suggest there are any problems with the raid, and it says there are no smart error on any of the drives.

Really not sure what is causing htis, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
