Issues with dull output at high resolutions

I have an ATI AIW 9700 Pro, and using the included component dongle to connect to my home theater projector as a 2nd display. This usually works fine. However, just recently the output is VERY dim at anything over 480p resolutions. I have to turn the brightness to 100 on the projector to compensate, but even then, colors are washed out. I dont have a problem at all with my promary display, or when doing 480p output on the 2nd display. I tried both the Cat 5.1 and 5.2s, and have had no luck... Im almost ready to take my computer to the hockey rink and treat to it to some flying rubber. Any suggestions would GREATLY be appreciated.
