Hello,

I built a new computer several days ago, and things seem to be running fine except for a few very strange irregularities. The setup is:

Hardware:
MSI p67a-gd65
asus gtx570 dcii
intel i7 2600k
8g g.skill ripjaws ram
1 x 450gb WD Velociraptor
1 x Crucial m4 60gb SSD

OS:
Windows 7 Ultimate running on the SSD. Most other programs are on the raptor.

The behavior:
When running google chrome certain websites, grooveshark as an example, will display as "Oops, google chrome cannot connect to _________.". This happens in every browser. Other pages I frequently have to reload multiple times to get it to actually load after typing in a url or a search. A large number of websites I can't log in to. Newegg as an example, I login on their seperate login page and then it takes me back to the newegg home page without me being logged in.

Other issue:
Red vertical line started appearing on my monitor (asus v242h).

Does anyone know what could be going on? I'm stumped. Windows firewall is turned off and kaspersky isn't telling me that its blocking anything. I have tried turning both firewalls on and off, but there are still a number of websites I just "cant connect" to. Any help would really be appreciated.

try firefox for a while and see if you get the same issues. Reinstall chrome.

The red vertical lines could be your gpu failing. Reseat it and make sure the monitor cable is completely plugged in.

So I tried out stuff in firefox and it is also giving the same issues. Re-installing chrome did not help either.

The red line has not been showing up for the last couple days, I haven't had a chance to reseat the graphics card yet. I tested the computer with a different monitor and didn't get the issue. I can still RMA the monitor, is that worth it if the lines seem to have disappeared?
