I'm sure this has been asked before but I have 2 80 gig ata drives and raptor and everytime when I boot up it gives me a choice which windows I want to boot into, not a problem thats what its supposed to do. The problem is I got a new case and was going to ditch the 80's and just use my raptor and a 250 gig and I install windows and everything goes fine till the last boot up then I get some error message about installing a boot disk. I've done all the easy
stuff (or so I think =+]) boot priority in BIOS checked cables, like I said before its fine if it tries to boot off of something else first, if I use a windows disk and set that to boot first and then just let that time out it will go into windows, or like I said with the 80 gig it will work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the drive you are trying to boot with marked as "Active" in the Disk Management tools? (Goto Administrative tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management tools)

If not, make it "active" then you should be able to boot right into windows without the setup cd. This one got me a while back when I set up a new windows installation on a non boot drive.

set it to active and removed the cable for my 80 gig tried to boot up gave me error loading OS
Same thing happed to my friend as well. Kind of frustrating
Anyways thanks for the info

Right Click My Computer/Properties/Startup...Settings/ uncheck time to show other OS's.

tried the dont' show differrent OS's that wasn't the problem but I tried it anyway, the problem is that I can't boot into windows on my raptor without something else that has windows on it connected to the board.

Disconnect all the other drives and reinstall windows, your Raptor is missing some of the basic boot info. (ntldr, or io.sys, or one of those)
