Hi guys,
I got my hands on a pretty nifty HP L2335 earlier this week, but for some reason it is not playing well with my laptop (it's a Sony FW51MF). I'll elaborate:
- if I just plug it in (I only have a VGA cable at the moment), both the laptop screen and the HP screen seem to go on and off endlessly - it shows image for a fraction of a second, then everything goes pitch black again.
- If I expand the workspace in Windows 7 (x64) before plugging it in it does work, but the resolution maxes out at 1280x720, both in the windows utility and in the catalyst control center (it has an HD4650). Here, if I change the mode to clone it just reverts back to the first situation.
Do you think I've missed something? I've tried everything, from installing display drivers (which aren't exactly helpful, since they are for windows XP) and looking for newer graphics drivers (which aren't available) and I'm still clueless. Not even after browsing google results for hours I could find a solution.
