I just got a BFG GTX 260 and I am hoping to have it output to my tv in my living room (over a CAT6 extender, but that will be down the road). I just wanted to test it to see if I could get the sound working properly, so I am using my kitchen tv, a Vizio VA22LF. Unfortunately, I cannot even get the picture to output to it. I haven't used NVIDIA for awhile, so I am not used to the control panel, but I do not think that is it. I have the DVI/HDMI adapter on port 1 on the video card, then going into HDMI 1 on my tv. When I have the tv on HDMI one, I get No Signal, and the control panel cannot find my display. When I switch the input on my tv, the control panel now shows my tv, but when I go back to HDMI 1, it loses it again.

When I boot up the computer, it shows the picture on the tv up until the login screen, so I think it must be something to do with the driver or windows. My 2nd monitor will then get the primary picture and the tv will display no signal. I tried to search for it, but things like hdmi, tv, detect bring a lot of responses back. I don't know if it has anything to do with HDCP, but I would think they would both be fine with it.

TIA.

Have you tried having it solely plugged into hdmi?, ie unplug the monitor.

I figured out at least part of my problem. I have an Xonar DX card and I thought I would try the JP2 header to see if that was an unlabeled S/PDIF header by hooking it up to my card. Unplugging the cable solved the output problem. I believe I know have a problem with monitor though, as 1920x1080 looks like crap. The text is fuzzy and uneven (like when you make an LCD do a non-native resolution), and I tried to bring up Crysis in it, and a 1680x1050 windowed game was larger than my display. The video card tells me it is at 1920x1080, but is there another way to check it? It was refurbished off of eBay and I wonder if they swapped it out for a cheaper LCD. Maybe I'm just going crazy, but it looks terrible. Thansk.
