So I just tried burning a dual-layer DVD with my laptop, only to have it error out. I tried burning again and it told me to connect a device. Confused, I tried opening my drive. Nothing.

I checked My Computer and my drive wasn't listed. Checked Device Manager, then looked in the BIOS and nothing. My drive no longer exists. Anyone have experience in this situation? Did my drive shit the bed or can it be saved?

EDIT: Seems flashing the BIOS fixed my drive problem. Not sure if I should try burning that disc again or not though...
