iSRT, have you tried it? Just seeing how many have actually used it and their thoughts. I've got it running on my system now and still trying to see the benefit. Any insight you want to give would be great, good bad or indifferent. Thanks.

Nope, the price on the small drives (64GB is max?) are disproportionally high compared to 120/240GB drives. The Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB was on sale for $199 at NCIX the last few days, why bother buying a $50-100 tiny drive to cache with when you can have space for OS/apps/games on an SSD.

At least for a gaming PC, I could see other applications the cache could be useful.

If I could get a 32GB mSATA SSD for $30 or something I might try it out of curiosity (Z77 system).
 
When my 64GB M4's first showed up, I decided to test one of them as an SRT drive to my 320GB WD Black. I loved it. Boot times got way shorter, and BF3 map loading also improved after a few times loading the game.

Only reason I stopped using it was because I had two of them to RAID0 :)
 
I've been considering swapping my drives around. Put the 100gb LE in as OS/Main App drive, and using a spare 64gb SSD as my cache drive for the 2TB to load everything else on. Hmm... Best of both worlds?
 
I have always just installed my OS and apps and whatnot on my ssd. Not messing with cache bs, or wondering if what you really use is in the ssd or not. Much simpler IMHO.

now if Intel came out with this technology 3-4 years ago when SSD's were a LOT more expensive, that would have been great, but IMHO they kinda missed it with this as SSD's are cheap enough to use natively now.
