I'm looking to buy a new projector ASAP, to replace one that went down at a business today.

This is the projector that died, that I'm replacing: http://www.amazon.com/Proxima-Ultralight-S520-SVGA-Projector/dp/B000056SNB

I have no simpler way to say it, other than: I need to find a new projector ASAP, that will meet my needs.

Requirements:

The projector is 16 feet away from the projection screen. The screen itself is a hefty 110" wide by 80" tall. If I read right, that means I need it to "throw 16 ft." and have an image size capability of 110".

The projector will normally run at 800x600, but may eventually need to run 1024x768.
It has to be connected via VGA cable 15-Pin.
Has to work with Windows 98.

Thanks in advance, [H]. You're my only hope.

Nope. The store I'm replacing this for has access to Best Buy and Prime, so choices from those avenues would be preferable.

I'm confused - are you trying to sell the item in that link, or purchase it? And what is the connection between best buy and amazon? And what do you need us to do?

So what exactly are you asking for? Suggestions? Have you done any searching yourself?

You need a projector that has VGA input, will run 1024x768 and can be acquired quickly? Won't just about any current projector with a VGA input do what you're asking?

Apologies.

I'm home and edited the OP, to be as clear as possible. I wrote most of it from my phone, while trying to fix this insanely antiquated (yet un-upgradable) Win98 system.

I did write both the throw and image size needed in the description. Sadly, not every current projector can do that well; which is why I originally posted here.

I have no simpler way to say it, other than: I need to find a new projector ASAP, that will meet my needs. Those needs are now better phrased in the OP. :)

Sincere apologies again! I really didn't realize how flustered I got while typing it out.

Why don't you just buy another of the same projector?

I see one on Amazon for $199, at the link you provided yourself.

Haha. It's one of those nights.

Obviously, I showed them the same link. Paying $199 for a 14 year old used projector, isn't what the business wants though. They said they want a new projector. Emphasis on the new.

Also, from what I've seen of it, this particular projector is really not meant for such a large screen. The image itself is blurry, even with proper calibration, due to the throw distance and limits of low level consumer projection tech back in 2000. Honestly, this thing looked rougher than the projector I had as a kid, for running film negatives.

Considering this is the fourth response and no one's been able to offer a suggestion, I'll go try my luck on Projector Central before subjecting myself to Best Buy Embarassment.
