Isn't Nvidias, 3d Surround just a modified SOFTH?

Or am I missing something?

Because if it is, shouldn't all cards be able to run in multimonitor mode with multiple cards?

As well as the nvidia ones and then still be able to use their 3d?
 
soft th has a lot of limits, although it is free. doesn't do anything newer than dx9, can't utilize two gpu's either.

Yes, its a software only solution, but I guess it will be better then softTH on regular surround since its implemented in the drivers themselves. In addition, softTH doesn't support SLI/Crossfire. On the other hand, softTH has its advantages, since its the only way you can get PLP support in full screen (Eyefinity can do PLP in window, but not full screen).

As for 3D, anaglyphic 3D has been done over softTH and 3 screens.
