Hi,
I have a friend who lives 26miles from me, and the area he lives is not serviceable via ANY means of internet sort of a T1, and he cannot drop $500-600 a month on a T1.... He is using Earthlink dialup at present, and only getting 20-42kbit/s and could really use all the bandwidth he can get..(hoping for 128kbit/s via two ISDN "pair") We have been talking about ISDN, and He has been looking at using earthlink as his ISP yet but moving to their ISDN service... Or maybe get an ISDN line to my place where i provision internet access for him... We have tried and thought of every idea under the sun (oh ya, a friend is starting a WISP in this area, and he cannot get it either, he lives in a 200ft cannon and no line of sight to anything.... and satellite is not an option....)
So if anyone has ideas, please help out, he is one of the best web/software developers i have ever worked with, and needs to have faster/more reliable internet at home.. Also, we need info on ISDN, as it is my weak area, came along and dead before my time.... BTW, he is using an apple airport to dialin and then feeding the internet out to a DD-WRT WRT54G router right now, and has been more reliable, but he still has some downtime...
