Is UEFI really this fast?

No, it's not. They are doing something different entirely, but UEFI helps. You will not see a boot up that fast on Windows 7 with a UEFI mobo. Mine certainly doesn't cold boot anywhere near that fast with a UEFI and an SSD.
 
So how long does POST take with UEFI, vs BIOS? Windows boot time is reduced drastically in Win 8, but POST is still a big contributor, and I want to know how much that improves with UEFI.
 
Remember that they're not doing a real cold boot in that video. Will remain to be seen if- what is effectively a sleep/hibernate replacement- is effective/not buggy for long-term use.
