are these the same thing? would it be better to buy this ge force mx440 replacing my intele extreme? anyone know of cheap pci cideo cards . im playin bf1942 and its hella slow. thankx for your help :D
 
They are not the same thing, and even a lowly MX440 will beat the pants off of integrated shared memory graphics.
 
"Uses Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT") means that it uses some of your memory to do its stuff.
So instead of having 512MB of DDR you end up with 448MB.

Real graphics cards have their own memory and work a lot better than any on-board crap.

Not to mention that shared memory is far slower in general than dedicated memory on the graphics card.
