Ok forget all this other junk.

I have a budge of around £200 and want to get a 17" TFT i know its not gonna be amazing, but thats all i can afford to spend, and i know theres lots around that price.

Any pointers

Gonna be using it for everything, games, graphics, photos etc.

Yes, i have this monitor. I personally feel that it is a pretty good monitor for the money. But that is just my opinion considering i upgraded from a 8.5 year-old gateway crt. But, i have watched movies on this monitor and played a few action games (Hitman Contracts) and i really don't see any problems. As far as that price from the website you were looking at, its a bit too much. I got my monitor from dell for $260 w/taxes and shipping. If i were you i'd maybe wait a bit until dell has its deals again. However, i'm not quite sure whether dell will be doing any more big deals on its products like it was doing for the past month or so.
 
ah, looks like i didn't post my response do your original inquiry fast enough. I still like the dell e173fp as far as pricing does if that matters at all.
 
samsung wiseview 1702 i think its called , just sold one now , nice screen , not bad for games = paid UK £210 for it
