This system will be used for Photoshop – editing larger images (now 20 Mb
each). Other apps are standard business stuff. No games. No overclocking.
Quiet operation is a big deal for me - it is a quiet area now! Reusable parts:
2 monitors, SATA drives, SATA DVD, and KB, mouse, etc.

This is my to-buy list.

ASUS P8Z68-V LX motherboard

Antec EarthWatts Green EA-430D PSU

Intel core i5-2400 CPU

Corsair Vengence 2x4GB, DDR 3 1600

Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced CASE

The total comes to about $500 - I'm OK with that.

So, what do you think? Add, delete, substitute... Thanks for your feedback.

lol isn't ram already cheap enough to not worry so much about it? he will prolly save 5-10$ buying the 1333 from the 1600 , but it's barely noticeable Performance but up to you.

For any kind of performance build, I'd just get the 1600 but for a mid-range build there's really no need. Just depends how price sensitive the OP is.
