ok i have a cheap crappy case all i can afford and can not really afford anything new so any ideas would be great to get this system colder

i have a 120mm and an 80mm fan on my psu i also have an 120mm fan on the back of the case and a 80mm on the front the air flow is front to back

my system specs
e8500
xfx 680i lt
2gb 2x1gb sticks crucail value ram 800mhz
xfx 8800gtx
dvd rom
dvd wrighter

here are the temps when just serfing the web room temp is 21c
systemtemps.jpg

temps dont look to bad.. though full load temps are better then idle temps on C2D's because the idle temps are incorrect on those processors.. i would double check the temp readings in everest with realtemp just to make sure everest has the correct Tjmax setting..

btw take a can of air and clean out that northbridge heatsink.. should help lower the temps on that as well.. do the same thing with the heatsink on your gfx card.. hell just clean out the entire system and get all the dust out of there..

lol after looking at the pic i thoght the same lol can of air will have to wait till payday

ok taken a pic of realtemp and everest side by side what could i use to put load on my pc to get the load temps

use prime95, it will pick up really quick. might want to run it for 30 mins. before capturing the temp

forgot to ask what tool should i use to put the gpu underload for the temp readings

ok here are the resulting temps after running prime 95 next next i think i will run fur and prime 95 for say one hour and pst thors results
prim95runresults.jpg

ok after 10 mins of fur and prime 95 these are the temps rather scared at the gpu hitting 98c so i stoped it

really need some help getting this lower

first i would try cleaning out all the heatsinks with a can of air.. can get them pretty cheap.. either from a computer place or any store like walmart or what ever in the cleaning area.. look for something called dust off or something similar to that.. then see what your temps are.. if that doesnt help then its time to screw around with fan layouts or the location of where you are keeping the system..

though the cpu temps look within limits it is a tad high..

the system sits on a laminate floor just under a window so should be the coolest part of the room.
i think i really need a better case larger maybe for more air space.
fans are in the best place from what threads i have read an looked at for air flow

holy crap 98 max!!!
yeah clean that thing out and try and zip tie up the cables....

i think it would of kept rising but i wasent takeing the chance lol cables are better then that now they are more out of the way i think a bigger case might help as that case is rather cramped
