So i came off playing fear and press ctrl alt del and i see my memory usgae is at 665meg..and it stays like that is that what should happen or should it go back down to around 200-300 meg to how it is when i start the comp?...

i have 1 gig of geil ram...(2x512 meg)
 
somtimes you have to do other memory active app's for it to go down, halo takes 500ish mb of mem from me, once i get out of halo its still there.......untill say i load up [H] page
then it goes down to like 300 (never cut my computer off)
so basicly yeah thats normal

it's understandable, i normally like multible opinions too :D

just out of curiosity, what have you got the page file set to?
 
see now youve lost me :(

im into graphics cards atm and going into cpu's havent done much with memory yet
 
oh you shouldve said virtual memory :p

i built this comp with my friend and he set it at 1gig...
