It seems a bit off :confused:

There's an x800 XT PE running in the following system:

K8n board
Athlon 64 3200+
512 mb pc3200
x800 XT PE


Well, in CS:S the system is only reaching 80 fps on the latest drivers, how can that be? I thought that the x800 would be one of those "oh em gee" cards where you get like 100 fps +.
 
What resolution are you using during the test. Another stick of 512 would help your system a lot. A little birdie told me that GPU intensive games such as Doom 3, Far Cry, and Half Life 2 like 1gigabyte :D
 
Xp3000 and 9800pro @1024x768 going from 512 to a gig of mem got me just shy of 9fps in VST. for what it's worth. HL2 seems tremendously smoother.. These new games like memory..
 
Let me ask the obvious rather than tell you to buy more stuff. Do you have your monitor's refresh rate at 80Hz? If yes do you have VSYNC enabled in CS?
